Paediatric Nursing Link

Recruitment

We are continually recruiting for quality paediatric Nurses and Healthcare Assistants.  If you are interested in joining our team apply here.

Recruitment Process:

  1. All applicants are screened for appropriate paediatric experience. Prior to arranging an interview all applicants will speak to one of our nurse managers who will assess their paediatric experience. To work for Paediatric Nursing Link you need to have a minimum current 6 months paediatric care experience.

  2. We also screen applicants for their eligibility to work status. Essentially they must be a valid EU Passport holder or have a verified indefinite leave to remain from the Home Office. There are other visas which will allow them to work but we follow the Home Office guidance very carefully and do not employ people who have or need work permits.

To find out if you are eligible to work in the UK please click here.

  3. If the applicant complies with the above then they will be invited to enter our registration process. This means that they must fill in the application form and associated forms (including health declaration, work history, training history, referee details, nursing/care skills checklist and more). They must also supply a current CV and original paperwork (which we will take certified copies of) for NMC registration, NMC PIN card, immunity record card, passport, household bills, training certificates or relevant qualification certificates.

  4. They will have a face to face interview with one of the nurse managers.

  5. We will then ensure we receive a clear enhanced CRB with POCA checks, two satisfactory references from previous or current employers, results from any necessary immunity tests (HepB, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella), occupational health clearance from our occupational health department, evidence of annual mandatory training completed and confirmation of NMC registration. When all the above is complete we will issue the applicant with a PNL ID badge and inform them they are fully registered and able to work.

  6. All applicants will undergo a performance assessment on their first shift with PNL. If this is successful they will be allowed to continue to work for us, but follow up performance assessments will occur at three months and then six monthly to ensure the quality of the service we provide and support for the Nurse/Healthcare Assistant concerned.
